Forward, New York Rangers Vladimir Tarasenko shared his emotions from the regular season game NHL with the Seattle Kraken, which became the striker’s debut at the new club.
The match ended with a score of 6:3 in favor of Rangers . The 31-year-old Russian, who traded from St. Louis on Thursday, scored the puck and was named the NHL’s first star of the game of the day.
“I don’t think I’ve ever experienced anything like this in my life. I was traded for the first time in the NHL…I spent 11 years at the same club. The guys gave us a very warm welcome. Everyone here has been very kind to us.
I knew Panarin and Zibanejad could always create an opportunity, so I just tried to be ready. I think sometimes we tried too hard. We like to play with each other. There were a lot of emotions, – Tarasenko quotes the official NHL website.
Tarasenko has been playing for St. Louis since 2013, in the 2018/19 season he won the Stanley Cup. In total, Tarasenko has made 644 appearances for the Blues, scoring 553 (262+291) points. In the playoffs, the Russian scored 41 goals and provided 19 assists in 90 games.
