Panarin scored five points Saturday (four goals and an assist) in a 6-2 road win over Carolina. For the first time in his career, the 31-year-old Russian striker played poker, had five points per game for the fourth time and at least three points for the 67th time.
The pentatrick for the Rangers has already been scored by Mika Zibanejad (March 5, 2020 against the Washington Capitals), Mark Pavelic (February 23, 1983 against the Hartford Whalers) and Don Murdoch (October 12, 1976 against the Minnesota North Stars ).
Panarin has 59 points (16 goals + 43 assists) in 53 games this season.
