New York Rangers rookie Vladimir Tarasenko has bid farewell to his former club the St. Louis Blues and his fans via social media.
– 11 seasons and a million memories. From the moment I was drafted, from achieving my NHL dream to winning the Stanley Cup. It will be with me all my life. I want to thank the St. Louis Blues, my coaches, my teammates and my staff. I couldn’t even hope the weather here would be so wonderful.
Most importantly, fans, you accepted me and my family as your own from day one. It has been a great honor and privilege to play for you all these years. You will always have a special place in our hearts,” Tarasenko wrote.
Tarasenko has been playing for St. Louis since 2013, in the 2018/19 season he won the Stanley Cup. In total, Tarasenko played 644 games for the Blues, scoring 553 (262+291) points. In the playoffs, the Russian scored 41 goals and provided 19 assists in 90 games.
