Thanks to goals from Scott Wilson and Yaroslav Busygin, Vityaz took a 2-0 lead, but Mikhail Sidorov and Ansel Galimov then scored and equalized, while Pavel Poryadin and Andrey Belozerov brought victory to Neftekhimik.
Neftekhimik, with the win, moved back into the Eastern Conference playoff zone and sits in eighth place with 65 points. Vityaz, who qualified for the playoffs earlier than expected today, sits sixth in the West with 72 points.
