russian striker “Minnesota” Kirill Kaprizov who scored his 30th goal of the season the day before, set another club achievement.
In the NHL regular season game against Florida (1:2 G), Kaprizov became the Wild’s only goal scorer. Thus, for the second time in a row, the Russian is going through the season with at least 30 goals given up – in the last championship he scored 47 times.
Earlier in the history of Minnesota, only two hockey players managed to spend two consecutive seasons with 30 goals in the regular season – we are talking about Marian Gaborik and Brian Rolston.
These two players of the 2007/08 season held their third consecutive championship with at least 30 goals. Since then, no one in the Wild has managed to reach that mark at least twice in a row.
It is also noted that Kaprizov became the second Russian hockey player after Alexander Ovechkin (32 goals), who scored 30 times this season.
