Outside goalkeeper Andrei Vasilevsky saved 28 shots. The keeper repeated his anti-record for missed goals in the playoff game. Previously, Vasilevsky missed as much in 2018 in the playoff game against Washington (2:6) and in 2021 in a meeting with Florida (5:6 OT).
The Rangers led the series to four wins. The second game of the showdown is scheduled for June 4.
