The owner of “Washington” sent words of support to the Ovechkin family

Owner “Washington Ted Leonsis backed the team captain Alexandra Ovechkina after the hockey player left the Capitals location for family reasons.

On Tuesday, reported that Ovechkin will soon fly to Moscow due to his father’s illness. Capitals head coach Peter Laviolette confirmed the 37-year-old forward won’t be playing this week and wished Ovechkin’s parents well.

This season, Ovechkin has scored 54 (32 goals + 22) points in 54 NHL regular season games.
