Omsk “Avant-garde” dominated “Neftekhimik” (2:1 OT) in Friday’s only game of the KHL Fonbet Championship.
Midway through the first period, Sergey Tolchinsky scored a goal for Avangard. At the end of regulation time, Neftekhimik managed to bounce back thanks to the goal of Evgeny Mityakin, but 40 seconds after the start of extra time reed bush scored the winning goal for Omsk.
With 79 points, the Vanguard are 3rd in the Eastern Conference. Neftekhimik lost after three straight wins, with 68 points Nizhnekamsk is in 8th place in the East and continues to fight for a place in the playoffs.
