Before Rangers Vitaly Kravtsov does not have moral and strong-willed qualities, he always had to be forced to work to the maximum, the former manager told RB Sport “Tractor” Andrei Balandin.
Vitaly Kravtsov is a student of the Traktor school. Previously, the New York Rangers made the Russian striker available for trade. According to Rangers head coach Gerard Gallan, the player hasn’t done enough to stay.
“I already call this phenomenon ‘Kravtsov’s syndrome’,” says Balandin. – There were such hockey players before, but now there are more and more of them. Kravtsov is spineless, not a fighter. Moral-willing qualities are not enough. He comes from a wealthy family and dad decided everything for him. Praise from the press at an early stage leads to the fact that the hockey player considers himself a star and ceases to be engaged in his development. He could make a good hockey player, but there should be a coach nearby who would ask him. He had to be forced to work to the maximum. The only way out of this situation is training. You have to devote all your time to hockey. The mode, the correct attitude to business, self-education will help. Kravtsov, like Traktor’s Nikita Tertyshny, can’t get out of the gym.
– Do you think he can play in the NHL? Or is it worth returning to the KHL?
– You can play in the NHL, but it depends on which club he goes and which coach. If you go back to the KHL, not the current tractor. Hockey player requirements are low and the team’s style of play is not developmentally appropriate. Kravtsov needs to move to a club that shows modern hockey – Ak Bars, SKA or Torpedo. And you need a coach who will ask him.
This season, 23-year-old Kravtsov has played 28 games, scored three goals and provided three assists.
