Offensive “Spartacus” Matvey Zaseda told RB Sport that one of the reasons for the team’s loss to Severstal in the Fonbet KHL Championship was the unrealized majority.
The match in Moscow ended with the score 3:1 (0:0, 2:1, 1:0) in favor of the guests.
– It was necessary to implement the majority – we had a lot. We are a special team, we had to decide the outcome of the match. We ourselves make mistakes and bring such moments. When the score is 1:0, you must win. And we lose. Moment with a second canceled goal? We have video coaches who immediately watched this moment and reported that there was high stick play. Therefore, we knew it would be cancelled,” Zaseda said.
Severstal scored 69 points and qualified for the KHL playoffs seventh in the West, Spartak (62) is ninth.
In the next game, on February 20, the Red-Whites will host Metallurg Magnitogorsk.
