Sweden’s Luleå was beaten in the final
Finnish club Tappara became Champions Hockey League winner. In the final, Tappara beat the Swedish Lulea – 3:2.
The Finnish club was leading 3-0 at the beginning of the third period and was barely able to keep the winning score, conceding two goals.
One of the goals for Tappara was scored by 35-year-old Jori Lehtera, known for playing in the NHL and the Finnish national team.
Tappara played in the Champions League final for the second year in a row, but won the trophy for the first time. It became the second team from Finland to win the title.
