Russian striker “Washington” Alexander Ovechkin will participate in the NHL regular season game with Anaheim. This was announced by club head coach Peter Laviolette.
“Ovechkin will play tonight,” quotes a specialist, journalist Tom Gulitti.
Ovechkin arrived in Moscow last week after his father Mikhail was hospitalized. Ovechkin Sr. died on February 15, he died at the age of 72 after a long illness. On February 22, the hockey player returned to the United States.
The Washington vs. Anaheim game will begin at 3:00 a.m. Moscow time on the night of February 23-24.
