Athletistic/Hockey. CSKA head coach Sergei Fedorov has called for an increase in the number of KHL regular season matches to 82.

“We have been isolated – and to hell with them. We are doing the right things and the right measures.

The 68-game format proved that we play hockey. The country is watching, and I think the fans are going crazy. They are happy to see their team in a day or two on the hockey field. If the league says to play 82 matches next season, that’s perfect,” RIA Novosti quoted Fedorov as saying.

Now Russian clubs and national teams are suspended from international hockey tournaments.
