Kazansky “AK Bars” won Nizhnekamsk “Neftekhimik” in the second match of the Gagarin Cup first round series.
The meeting in Kazan ended with the score 4:1 (2:0, 1:0, 1:0) in favor of the ice hosts. As part of Ak Bars, Vyacheslav Voinov (1st minute), Dmitry Voronkov (7), Alexander Radulov (25) and Stanislav Galiev (48) scored goals. Kirill Vorobyov scored for Neftekhimik (21).
Voronkov scored in the 14th second of the game and repeated the club record in the KHL playoffs – in 2009 Danis Zaripov scored in the 14th second of the match with Avangard. He is the second character in KHL history. The fastest goal in Gagarin Cup history was scored by Konstantin Pushkarev (Barys) in the 11th second against Traktor (2017).
The score in the series up to four wins is 1-1. The next game in the series will take place in Nizhnekamsk on March 5.
