Striker Cherepovets “Severstal” Nikita Guslistov who scored the winning goal in the KHL playoff game with CSKA Moscow, said that the whole team worked on this goal.
Severstal beat CSKA (3-2) in the second extra time of the second game of the first round of the Gagarin Cup. After Saturday’s encounter, the series score became 1-1.
How did I score? We started the attack well, like in practice – we managed to get around the defender, then we just had to shoot, and the puck went between the goalkeeper’s legs. The goal is average, but the whole team worked for him for four and a half periods. We gave a lot of strength, our goalkeeper is a good guy, he got away with it. I think they deserved to win.
This is not the first season where we have shown that we can play with any team. Run the formatter installation correctly. All of our guys are young, hungry, they all want to win, out of desire and dedication.
I’m sure a full arena will come to our games in Cherepovets and take us forward. And we will try to do everything to win, – the correspondent reports Guslistov’s words.
The third game of the series will take place on March 6 on Severstal ice. Watch the live broadcast of the match starting at 7:20 p.m. Moscow time on the KHL PRIME channel, as well as on matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru.
