In one of the episodes of the game, the Russian pushed the Swede, Hedman fell on the ice and hit the side. He was forced off the field in the second half.
In the third period, Hedman tried to get back into the game, but only spent 11 seconds on the ice, after which he was gone.
“Tampa” head coach John Cooper said that the exact timing of the player’s recovery will be known after a thorough medical examination.
The Lightning suffered their 5th straight loss with a total score of 11:27. After 63 games, Tampa is third in the Atlantic Division with 79 points. Hedman this season took part in 60 matches, scored 42 points (6 + 36).
