Defender of Vityaz Jeremy Roy received a monetary fine following the results of Game 3 of the KHL First Round Playoff Series against Lokomotiv, the league’s press service reports.
At the end of the third period, he tried to get into a fight with an opponent, for which he was dismissed before the end of the game.
– Based on the documents presented, it was decided to leave unchanged the penalty imposed on Vityaz defender Jeremy Roy under clause 3.9 of Art. 28 of the KHL’s Disciplinary Rules (“Persists in trying to continue the fight or resists the linesman”), and subject him to a fine, the statement on the KHL’s website said.
The disciplinary regulations provide for a fine of 50,000 to 100,000 rubles for such an offense.
Fourth game of the series “Vityaz” and Lokomotiv will be held in Balashikha on March 7. The Yaroslavl team leads the best-of-four series with a score of 2-1.
