“The ladies didn’t get a gift today, but they put on a show with goals” – Severstal coach Razin on CSKA loss

Cherepovets Severstal head coach Andrei Razin after a crushing loss against CSKA in the KHL playoff game, he apologized that the hockey players could not congratulate the fans on the holiday and explained why he used three goalkeepers during the match.

On Wednesday, Severstal lost to CSKA at home in the 4th game of the first round of the KHL playoff series with the score 3:9, the series score became tied – 2-2. In the starting lineup, Alexander Samonov entered the ice, in the 14th minute he was replaced by Dmitry Shugaev. In the second half, Samonov again took the place at the gate, who was again replaced by Shugaev in the 20th minute. In the third period, Artem Nazarkin took place at the gates of the Cherepovets team.

– All girls, daughters, mothers, grandmothers – from March 8. I wish health, spring mood, love. Unfortunately, we did not give a present to the beautiful ladies of Cherepovets today, but we organized a show with goals. The holidays probably turned out, but with a minus sign. I think it was interesting. The series continues. Only one game. CSKA – with a win. We are going to Moscow. We will fight.

– Goalkeeper Artem Nazarkin appeared today in the third period. For what?

“Two of our goalkeepers have microtraumas, so we have decided to release Artem,” the coach told Severstal’s website.

The score in the best-of-four series was 2–2. The next match will take place on March 10 in Moscow.
