“Dynamo has no debts to players now”

– I will actively participate in determining the future fate of Dynamo coaches and players, – said Kharchuk. – At least I will always express my objective opinion.

– But you said even before the start of the series that the problem with Kudashov’s contract was practically solved? Aren’t you afraid that other clubs will intercept him?

– Nothing has changed since, but the question remains open. We don’t know what the conditions will be. After all, when the contract ends, everything ends – the terms, the finances. The club has its own position, but we don’t know yet what the conditions of the technical staff will be.

– Recently, unofficial information appeared that Dynamo canceled their debts to Shipachyov for the last season. There’s a lot of money there, a hundred million. Can you confirm it?

– The club has no debts either to former Dynamo players or to current ones. In agreement with Shipachev we had to repay the debt before the end of April, and paid it on March 7, the day before his birthday. I just congratulated Vadim today, we had a good conversation. Dynamo no longer owes any player contracts or bonuses.

“We will still deal with the bookmakers”

— How did you stabilize the financial situation? After all, before the start of the season, the players in the training camp bought fruit for the dining hall themselves.

“It’s a living process. I know finance and I love working with them. At the same time, I don’t owe anyone anything, they owe me.

– Did the fact that the bookmakers left the Russian market had a strong impact on the financial situation?

— No, they were not key partners for us. I recently received a letter from them, and we will still deal with it. It is not such a simple situation. There is an agreement, there are obligations. If one of the parties undertakes to terminate the contract early, penalties are provided for. So far, we haven’t talked to them about it.

— Leaving for the NHL, Alexander Ovechkin promised to return and finish his career in his native Dynamo. Is the club preparing for it? It’s not only about money, but also about preparing a team that will fight for the championship.

“So we are already preparing it right now. The Dynamo now have exactly the age potential that will peak when Sasha’s NHL contract expires. Whereas at that time he had worthy partners.

So far we have a very young team. And I have my own understanding – who is a young player? I haven’t seen a single set of criteria anywhere. Now, if a 22-year-old has played three full seasons in the KHL, can he be called a youth?

– If you are talking about Rashevsky, then Dmitry is undoubtedly already experienced.

– Not only on Rashevsky , there are many such players in the KHL. Therefore, here it is necessary to take into account not only the age, but also the number of matches for the main team, for the national team, etc. There is a whole range of indicators. Sasha Ovechkin has been playing for the main team since she was 17 years old. And what? Did anyone consider him young at 20?

“We met Larionov in 1997. He is a very talented person.”

Did Rashevsky disappoint you in the playoffs? Kudashov said he didn’t like some players.

– Coach knows best. And I always look at the team’s game as a whole. In this series, Dynamo fought. I can’t say that someone didn’t work. I am grateful to everyone – players, coaches, administrative staff, doctors. Because there were enough injuries. Many have played through the pain. Not just Konovalov, who the coaches spoke about directly. But these are nuances about which it is not customary to speak publicly. But in general, the team fought. But there is always such a girl – good luck.

– Do you have a good relationship with Larionov ?

– We have known each other for a very long time. Since he won his first Stanley Cup in 1997. Then I worked for the Olympic Committee, we accepted hockey players. It was then that we met. And since then, the relationship has always been maintained. I consider Igor to be a very talented person.

– So you can invite Larionov to Dynamo?

– Let’s do without. I said no such thing.
