“Of course, I agree. We have a great team. I won’t blame anyone. We just weren’t efficient enough. The championship is the first time so long and hard. – A very difficult match. They fought, they tried. We didn’t like losing, and there were a lot of emotions and skirmishes.

– Did the situation with the head coach’s new contract, which they didn’t want to sign, affect the team?

– The technical staff ignored us. The guys understood everything perfectly. We were completely in the playoffs, and we did not mention the news of the contracts. In the season you can follow the press, but in the Gagarin Cup – not before. The most important thing is the game and the team.

– Before the start of the playoffs, many said that Torpedo was not a cup team and that they would withdraw it immediately. What can you say after the series?

– Everyone has their own opinion. I can only congratulate Torpedo for the victory.

– Can Nizhny Novgorod win in the second round?

– Why not? Any team can go further and surprise everyone. Both Torpedo and Severstal.

“I talk about it all the time. I prefer to play than to train. Let there be at least a hundred games.
