On Saturday, Colorado beat Edmonton in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals – 4:2, Nichushkin scored a brace.
In the 2021/22 season, the 27-year-old Russian scored five playoff goals; in the previous five seasons, he scored four goals in 42 Stanley Cup games. In total, in 12 playoff games this season, Nichushkin scored nine points (5+4).
The Avalanche lead the series 3-0 with Game 4 Monday in Edmonton.
