Edmonton Oilers forward Connor McDavid ranked first in NHL regular season points among current players.
On Tuesday, the Oilers beat the Ottawa Senators 6-3 in a regular-season home game, with McDavid scoring one goal and one assist.
The 26-year-old forward has 129 points (56 goals and 73 assists) in 68 games. The Canadian defeated the Russian striker “Tampa Bay Lightning” Nikita Kucherov , who scored 128 points in the 2018/19 season. McDavid scored 123 points last season.
The record for points scored for the regular season belongs to Wayne Gretzky, who earned 215 points for his performances in the 1985/86 season. In the overall list, McDavid takes 50th place.
