Offensive “Colorado” Nazem Kadri will miss the rest of the Western Conference Finals series against “Edmonton” due to injury, according to the NHL’s website.
Kadri injured in collision with Oilers forward Evander Kane on the boards in the first period of Game 3 of the series, which took place on Saturday and ended 4-2 in favor of the Avalanche. Kane was heavily fined for this offence.
“I was just trying to meet him, that’s really all I did. Unfortunately, he crashed awkwardly on the board and injured his hands. It didn’t work out well,” said said Kane.
– You are taught from an early age that it is impossible to do this, and especially at such a distance from the sides. It’s a very dangerous game,” Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog said of the episode.
Kadri in the current playoffs scored 14 points (6+8) in 12 matches.
Colorado leads the series 3-0 with Game 4 in Edmonton on Monday.
