Canadian has the best performance among hockey players in the 21st century

Forward Edmonton Oilers Connor McDavid became the new leader in the number points scored in one season among current hockey players National Hockey League (NHL).

The Canadian chalked up a goal and an assist in the Ottawa match (6:3). The Senators’ empty-net shot marked McDavid’s record-breaking 129 points this season. The striker has 56 goals and 73 assists.

McDavid has the best scoring record of any NHL player in the 21st century. His result is the third in the history of the league, after Mario Lemieux (161 points) and Jaromir Jagr (149 points), who set their records in the 1995/96 season.

Edmonton is fifth in the NHL Western Conference with 82 points. Until the end of the regular season, McDavid’s team will play 14 games. The Oilers will host Dallas next.
