Winner of the Gagarin Cup Mikhail Anisin told RB Sport that the Ak Bars striker Alexandra Radulova unduly much criticism since the start of the season.
In the first round of the Fonbet KHL Championship playoffs, the Kazan team defeated Neftekhimik (4–2 in the series). Hockey players “Ak Bars” beat “Admiral” in the opening match of the series of the second round of the Gagarin Cup.
– Is Ak Bars a favorite in the East?
– Without a doubt. In the Conference Finals, Ak Bars is expected to meet Avangard. In the West, CSKA will reach the final, and I can’t predict who their rival will be. The odds for SKA and Torpedo are 50/50, this series will be the highlight of the entire season. For many guys from Nizhny Novgorod it’s also the first playoff in their career, and playing like that is just great. It may not work to pass the SKA, there are different weight classes in terms of budget. But I like that Larionov always has maximum goals, and not just for the playoffs.
– What do you think of the review of Alexander Radulov? Someone even considers his behavior in the KHL rude.
– Radulov behaves normally, he has such a character and the playoffs are a game of emotions. It’s a groovy, driving team. Since the start of the season, so much dirt has been poured on him, they say, he is already 36 and he is not the same. And Radulov is well done, one of the best in the KHL and has proven everything to everyone. In the playoffs, he will show up again, one hundred percent.
Radulov has scored 57 (25+32) KHL regular season points this season. In seven playoff games, the 36-year-old Russian has 9 (5+4) points.
