Zinetula Bilyaletdinov leader of Kazan “AK Bars” became the winningest head coach in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) playoffs.
Bilyaletdinov now has 80 victories to his name. The second place in this indicator is occupied by Oleg Znarok (79), Dmitry Kvartalnov (68) closes the top three.
On Saturday, Ak Bars defeated Admiral in the second game of the Gagarin Cup second round series – 2: 1 (score in the series – 2-0).
Bilyaletdinov led Kazan from 2004 to 2011 and from 2014 to 2019 he led the team to three Gagarin Cup victories (2009, 2010, 2018). In December, the 68-year-old specialist once again took over as head coach of Ak Bars.
