Shesterkin said he was happy to play zero again in the NHL game

Russian goalkeeper New York Rangers Igor Shesterkin said he was happy to leave his net untouched in the NHL regular season game with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The meeting took place on Sunday evening in New York and ended in favor of the owners of the ice with the score 6:0 (2:0, 4:0, 0:0). Shesterkin saved 33 shots on goal and was recognized as the game’s first star. Russian for the second time this season played zero.

“Of course, that means a lot to me. I missed that feeling and I’m very happy right now,” Shesterkin told the NHL website.

Shesterkin has played 50 games this season and won 32.
