The “Capitals” striker in his area was hit by “Wide” defender Matt Damba. The Russian hardly got up from the ice and left the surface, holding on to his shoulder.
After a strong reception, Kuznetsov’s partner in Washington, TJ Oshi, got into an argument with Damba, for which he received a 10-minute disciplinary fine. Damba himself was not sent to the penalty box for a hit on Kuznetsov.
This season, the 30-year-old Russian striker has 51 (12+39) points in 69 games.
