By that metric, Ovechkin is the only second-place finish in NHL history, ahead of Brett Hull by nine of those games. The Russian has reduced the gap with Wayne Gretzky, who leads in this indicator, to 22. The legendary Canadian scored 189 games with more than 2 goals.
