Severstal goalkeeper Alexander Samonov suggested that Andrei Razin could leave the post of head coach of the Cherepovets hockey club, as he had exhausted his resources.
On March 16, Razin announced his departure from Severstal. Under his leadership, the team reached the KHL playoffs three times in a row. For the past two seasons, Cherepovets have been knocked out in the first round of the Gagarin Cup, losing to their rivals in seven matches.
