Dynamo finished the regular season in fifth place in the Western Conference before losing to Torpedo in the first round of the Gagarin Cup 2–4 in the series.
– Reportedly, Andrei Safronov wants to bring his head coach and general manager to Dynamo. How would you comment on this situation?
“Decisions regarding the appointment of the head coach and general manager are taken by the club’s shareholders, and Safronov is not one of them,” quotes Voronin as saying. – Therefore, he does not make decisions on the appointment of people to positions within the club.
– What is Safronov’s role as advisor to the club president?
– Today the board, having listened to the coach and the general director, and the discussion, in fact, is already over, also listened to the opinion of Safronov, my adviser. He is an experienced person, led by the club, his opinion can be taken into account. But not more. Now you can also tell us your opinion about the head coach, and we will listen to it. But the decision will be made by others in accordance with the club’s charter.
