The head coach S.K.A. Romain Rotenberg answered the question of what kind of gestures he showed on the Nizhny Novgorod bench after each dropped puck.
Torpedo lost in the third game of the second round of the Gagarin Cup (0-4). Each series in the KHL playoffs goes up to four wins. Now SKA are leading with a score of 3-0.
– After each dropped puck, you made some kind of gesture towards the Torpedo bench. Who was it addressed to?
Hockey is a game of emotions. Without them, nowhere. It’s just a winning move. Fist of Victory.
– And why towards the Torpedo bench?
– Well, why in the direction of their bench? Just a winning move. How without that? It’s a goal. The most important thing for us is to score goals. We like it. Should we be sad? We will not be sad. We will rejoice when we score. A lot of work has been done to score such goals. It is the result of our work. How many more did we not score today – we had a lot of chances. We have to look at that, how we can improve,” the correspondent quoted Rotenberg as saying.
The next game in the series is Wednesday, March 22.
