Offensive “Capitals of Washington” Alexander Ovechkin spoke about the support of his teammates after the death of his father Mikhail and noted that his family tries to stick together.
Mikhail Ovechkin died on February 15, he died at the age of 72 after a long illness.
Mom is enjoying her time here (in Washington), hanging out with us. It’s been a long time since his last visit. Every day is important to us. We stick together and do our best to just be together and help each other.
The support from the teammates has been incredible. These were difficult days, but the team helped a lot, – the NHL website quotes Ovechkin.
