Athletistic/Hockey. French striker Stefan Da Costa continues to play in Russia for Avtomobilist. He talked about his decision to stay in the KHL.
Was it difficult to make the decision to stay in the KHL? No. I know how things are. I said I would come and see how things are going. And nothing has changed. I have no problem. In the street, no one says to me: “French? Ooh…”. I had no problems, nothing changed for me. The only thing that makes me sad is that I can no longer play with my national team. Because I play in Russia. The decision is stupid, but… yes, the federation decided it. It hurts. However, it is a team, and I have invested a lot in it. It’s a problem, but nothing else, never had a problem here.
Do sports and politics intersect? Well… only cross paths when they want to,” Da Costa said in live on the YouTube channel “Slippery Ice”.
