The striker scored an assist in the regular season game against Detroit (5:2). In total, 27-year-old Barkov has registered 614 points (238 goals + 376 assists) for the club. The previous feat belonged to Jonathan Huberdeau (613 points).
Barkov is the son of former Russian hockey player Alexander Barkov.
Florida sits eighth in the Eastern Conference standings with 79 points. In the next game, the team will play away with Philadelphia on March 21.
