“Washington” released a unique doll in honor of Ovechkin

“Washington” released a unique doll in honor of Alexandra Ovechkina which was received by all the fans who came to the match “Washington” against “Columbus” (6:7 OT).

The doll is a Chinese bobblehead with a movable head. Alexander Ovechkin is pictured in a Washington Capitals uniform after scoring another goal. A counter is built into the bracket, which can be changed manually, setting the attacker’s next target.

The Gr8 Chase doll logo has already become a trademark. It stands for “Great Eight Chasing Gretzky’s Record”. In this match, Ovechkin scored his 820th goal. At the NHL record, which so far belongs to Wayne Gretzky (894), Ovechkin still has 75 goals to score.

Washington led 3-0 in the first period but ended up losing 6-7 in overtime to last-placed Columbus. With 10 games left in the regular season, the Capitals are five points behind eighth place in the standings.

For the first time since 2014, Ovechkin could find themselves without a playoff. Washington, led by Ovechkin, won the Stanley Cup in 2018.
