Prior to the game, the NHL and Capitals held a ceremony honoring Ovechkin, who scored his 802nd career goal on Dec. 23, 2022, passed Gordie Howe (801) and became the second-leading scorer of all league times.
In a game with the Blue Jackets, Ovechkin scored his 40th goal of the season, for the Russian striker this is the 13th regular season in which he has scored 40 or more goals. According to this indicator, the 37-year-old Russian surpassed Wayne Gretzky (12 seasons).

He is constantly on the lookout for chances and tries to make them happen in every game. And he does it very well. But for me, the word “stability” is the main answer to your question.
