Russian goalkeeperTampa » Andrei Vasilevsky ranked first in a poll conducted by the NHL Players Union (NHLPA), reports the league’s press office.
Respondents had to answer the question: “If you have to win a game, which goalkeeper would you like to see on the team?”
The vast majority – 52.3% of respondents – chose Vasilevsky, in second place – Igor Shesterkin of the New York Rangers (4.8%), completed the top three Marc-André Fleury (Minnesota, 4%).
The Russian goalkeeper became the best according to the results of this poll for the second year in a row.
This season, 28-year-old Vasilevsky has played 54 games, helped the team to 31 wins and returned an average of 91.3% of shots.
