Captain”Washington » Alexander Ovechkin thanked the club for having organized a ceremony dedicated to the attacker’s second place in the list of the best scorers in the history of the NHL.
The ceremony took place on March 21 before the regular season game against Columbus (6:7 OT). Earlier, the Russian took his personal tally in regular NHL championships to 802 goals, which put him ahead of Gordie Howe (801) and took him to a clear second place in league history. .
