“Avant-garde” contacted Ufa “Salavat Yulayev” on the transfer of the goalkeeper Andrei Kareev but the Omsk club later refused this option, according to Metaratings.ru.
Kareev, 28, graduated from Metallurg Novokuznetsk, he played for Salavat from 2017 to 2020, and last off-season he returned to Finnish TPS club Ufa, where he spent two years. In the 2022/23 season, Kareev played 30 games in the regular Fonbet KHL Championship, scoring 92.8% of shots.
According to the source, Avangard is currently interested in the candidacy of Dmitry Shikin, whose contract with Vityaz expires on April 30.
Shikin, 31, played in 30 Fonbet KHL regular season games, returning 92.1% of shots with a reliability coefficient of 2.65. In the playoffs, he played in two games, passing 94% of the shots.
