Vancouver striker Kuzmenko refused to use a rainbow kit

Before “Vancouver” Andrei Kuzmenko refused to wear a uniform with LGBT symbols during the warm-up before the NHL regular season game against Calgary.

Canucks coach Rick Tocquet said the Russian hockey player, after discussions with his family, decided not to wear a special uniform ahead of the home game against the Flames.

Earlier, the Philadelphia Flyers’ Russian defender Ivan Provorov also refused to wear a uniform with LGBT symbols before the regular season game.

This season, Kuzmenko has scored 37 goals and made 31 assists in 73 games.
