Former “Salavat Yulaev” head coach Lyamsya will lead Finland’s youth ice hockey team

Former Ufa head coach “Salavat Yulaev” Tommy Lyamsia lead the youth team Finland according to the Finnish Hockey Association website.

The contract will be for two seasons. The 42-year-old specialist will take up his post after the World Junior Championship, which has been postponed to August due to the situation with the coronavirus. This position is currently held by Antti Pennanen.

— I look forward to working with the main representatives of Finnish hockey. It is an important role and a responsible task, which I humbly accept.

It’s great that we can work with clubs and help young hockey players develop their careers,” Lyamsya said.

Lyamsya joined Salavat Yulaev’s coaching staff in 2017 and left the head coaching position in April this year.
