Edmonton set up Russian hockey player Konovalov for an unconditional draft

NHL club “Edmonton” placed the Russian goalkeeper Ilya Konovalova on the denial list, reports the Oilers press office.

The guard signed a two-year rookie contract with the Oilers in May last year. This season, he played 17 games with the Edmonton Farm Club of the American Hockey League (AHL), averaged 89.3% on shots and had a reliability coefficient of 2.73.

Previously, Konovalov played in the KHL for Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. In May, Dynamo Moscow secured the rights to the 23-year-old hockey player.
