“It’s not that we’re all Oilers fans, we lost the bet in the Alberta battle. I guess there is makeup on my face that is very itchy and uncomfortable today, but I bet there is a bet,” Gondek said.
She added that the main idea of the dispute was to contribute to the treatment of cancer in children.
– (There is) a little boy named Ben Stelter in Edmonton, he and his family were battling brain cancer, and we agreed to help organize children’s cancer treatment in Edmonton to help families like family of Ben, because it’s an incredibly moving journey, the mayor said.
