SKA coach Rotenberg called the death of Michkov’s father a huge loss for Russian hockey

Head coach of SKA Saint Petersburg Romain Rotenberg expressed his condolences on the passing of Andrey Michkov, father of the Sochi striker and the Russian national team Matvey Michkov .

On Tuesday, Sochi announced that Michkov Sr., who had previously disappeared, had been found dead. He was 51 years old.

— Horrible news. We all knew Andrei Vladislavovich well, he was a wonderful person, an excellent father, who raised Matvey and gave him a start in life. Andrei’s death is a huge loss for our hockey.

I offer my deepest condolences to Matthew and his family. We will not stand aside and will always help with whatever we can. Strength and courage to the family and friends of Andrey Michkov, – Rotenberg wrote in the Telegram channel .

The Russian Ice Hockey Federation (FHR) also joined in condolences in connection with the tragedy.

– In Sochi, at the age of 52, Andrey Michkov, the father of Matvey Michkov, died in obscure circumstances. We express our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Andrey Vladislavovich.

Michkov, whose rights belong to SKA, has been playing for Sochi since last December.
