The legendary Czech has supported Ukraine since the beginning of the war
Famous Czech ex-hockey player Dominik Hasek reacted to the news that the champion of Ukraine in hockey died in the war of Ukraine against the Russian Federation Alexander Khmil.
“Sad news. When we cheer for our guys at the World Championship, let’s not forget that the tournament can be held thanks to these heroes. Ukrainian hockey players fight and die at the front, and Russians advertise their country, which kills in democratic Ukraine.”
Recall that the famous Ukrainian hockey player and coach Oleksandr Khmil died in the war with Russia. It is known that Khmil died during a combat mission near Bakhmut.
Yesterday, May 12, the 2023 Ice Hockey World Championship kicked off, which takes place in Riga (Latvia) and Tampere (Finland).
