Athletistic/Hockey. In the group stage of the Ice Hockey World Championship, the Latvian national team beat the Hungarian national team. The match, which took place in Riga on May 19 in group B, ended with the score 3:2 in favor of the Latvians.
Rihards Bukarts scored two goals in the winners’ frame and Kaspars Daugavins provided another assist. Anze Kuralt and Miha Verlich scored for the Slovenian national team.
With 8 points, the Latvian national team is in fourth place in the Group B standings, while Slovenia have not scored any points and are in last, eighth place.
