Group A:

  • Hungary – Finland – 1:7.
  • Austria – Germany – 2:4.

Finland cruised to a 7-1 crushing victory over Hungary thanks to goals from Mikko Lehtonen, Kaapo Kakko, Atte Ohtamaa, Teemu Hartikainen, Kasperi Kapanen, Valtteri Merel and Joel Armia. Balazs Szebek scored Hungary’s only goal.

In the game between Austria and Germany, the Germans won 4-2 thanks to two goals from Niko Sturm, as well as goals from Parker Tuomi and Wojciech Stachowiak. Bernd Wolff and Lukas Haudum scored goals for Austria.

Group B:

  • Latvia – Slovenia – 3:2.
  • Kazakhstan – Slovakia – 4:3 B.

Latvia beat Slovenia 3-2 thanks to goals from Richard and Robert Bukarts and a puck from Kaspars Daugavins. The Latvian team continues its winning streak, which has reached three matches. Anže Kuralt and Miha Verlic scored goals for Slovenia.

In the game between Kazakhstan and Slovakia, the Kazakhs managed to bounce back 0-1 and take the lead thanks to goals from Roman Starchenko, Valery Orekhov and Evgeny Rymarev. However, Slovakia equalized thanks to goals from Richard Panik and Pavol Regenda. Kazakhstan’s final victory came with an accurate shot from Nikita Mikhailis in a shootout.
