Athletistic/Hockey. The Ice Hockey World Championship Group B match between the national teams of the Czech Republic and Norway was held at the “Arena-Riga” stadium in Riga. The victory in this meeting was won by Czech hockey players with the score 2:0.
In the 13th minute of the match, during a power play, Dominik Kubalik opened the scoring thanks to assists from Jan Koshtyalek and Roman Cervenka. In the 19th minute, the advantage of the Czechs was doubled thanks to a goal from Jakub Fleck after assists from Michal Kempna and Karel Veimelka. Czech national team goalkeeper Karel Veymelka stopped 27 shots in his own goal and gave a shutout.
The Czech Republic leads Group B with 13 points. Norway – 7th, 4 points.
