Athletistic/Hockey. Today, May 20, the Nokia Arena in Tampere hosted the Ice Hockey World Championship match between the national teams of Austria and Finland, who are rivals in Group B. The victory in this match was won by the Finnish team with a score of 3:1.
The first goal of the match has already been scored in the second minute, Kasperi Kapanen scored with assists from Kaapo Kakko and Olli Määttä. The Austrians were able to equalize a few minutes later: Dominic Zwerger scored the puck after passes from Marco Rossi. The second puck flew towards the Austrian gates in the eighth minute, when Antti Suomela scored on passes from Olli Määttä and Miik Koivisto. At the end of the match, Finland didn’t count Ahti Oksanen’s puck, but the third goal was scored against Austria, Oksanen scored again.
Finland scored 13 points and moved into second place in their group. Austria have lost all matches in the tournament and are in last place.
